1- Purnululu Yoga Tour – 10 days
Purnululu was only known to Aboriginals People and a few adventurers. Listed as a World Heritage Site since 2003, Purnululu still remains a mythical and very isolated world of breathtaking natural beauty.
Purnululu National Park is a mythical and very isolated world of breathtaking natural beauty. Beyond Cathedral Gorge, beyond the famous domes and beyond Piccaninny gorge, in the heart of the park, in a world forgotten by tourists, carved by almost 400 millions years of erosion, snuggled up in lost times, 5 small gorges are hidden: “The 5 Fingers”.
The "5 Fingers" are therefore 5 small gorges, all 5 different from each other. Sometimes 200 meters high, the cliffs shrink, leaving the walker with only the space necessary for his progress. The light is dimmed, the orange red of the rock collars the daylight a light pink. The air is cooling. We evolve in a world of unreal dimensions.

For the yogis amongst you, we will practice yoga sunrise and sunset in spectacular settings amongst the Five Fingers Gorges of Purnululu National Park.
TOUR DETAILS

Duration: 10 days
The expedition starts 7:00am on the date nominated. We will travel 4 hours by 4WD to commence our exploration deep into the Purnululu National Park.
We can expect to encounter day trippers on the first day of the expedition, but as we walk out of Cathedral Cave, we leave the crowds behind and enter a world only a few will see. For the next 10 days, we will explore the five fingers.
We will be walking approximately 6 to 10 km per day. I plan to leave camp at 8 am each morning. Our day will start early to avoid walking in the heat of the afternoon. We will return to camp around 4 pm.
The weather in the area can vary greatly. We can expect the daytime temperatures to climb beyond 30° C, whereas during the evening the temperature can be very cold.

Au cœur du massif de Purnululu, dans un monde oublié par les touristes, creusées par presque 400 millions d’années d’érosion, blotti en des temps perdus
Five small gorges are hidden: the “5 Fingers”.
Les « 5 Fingers » sont donc 5 petites gorges, toutes 5 différentes les unes des autres. Hautes de parfois 200 mètres, les falaises qui forment ces gorges vont en se rétrécissant, ne laissant alors au marcheur que l’espace nécessaire à sa progression. La lumière se tamise, le rouge orangé de la roche colore la lumière du jour d’un rose léger. L’air se rafraichit. On évolue dans un monde aux dimensions irréelles.
La première gorge , Finger 1, est une succession de bassins de plus en plus longs, coincés entre des murs de grés lissés par les pluies d’été.
On entre dans la seconde gorge par un tunnel. C’est une balade agréable le long de couloirs naturels qui se terminent sur des bassins.
La troisième gorge est pleine de surprises, une source d’eau claire qui se découvre sur des roches mauves, un puits qui semble sans fond

Il faut inventer son chemin entre de gros blocs de grés pour rejoindre un puits et le long tunnel un peu mystérieux de la quatrième gorge.
Lors de ma première visite, c’est le Finger 5 que j’avais préféré pour son charme qui se découvre comme une offrande.
We will camp in the Piccaninny Gorge, near a small body of water. I will take care of the dinner while you can enjoy the swimming pools located near the camp.
Pour ceux que ça tenterait, il est possible à la fin de notre rando de monter dans un hélicoptère pour voir d’en haut ce que nous aurons découvert d’en bas.
