Do you love Yoga? Do you love our Top End outdoors? Are you a bushwalker, or would you love to try? Do you want to enjoy yoga sessions in a pristine natural environment?
Join our yoga teacher, Marie Morrison, on a three-day yoga adventure! We will practice yoga at sunrise and sunset on the top of the waterfall, which has a spectacular view, listening to bird songs and the gentle flow of the cascades.
Litchfield is a paradise. We will establish our camp in dramatic rock formations, ancient cycads, clifftop views, and nature. There will be no shortage of beauty to enhance your yoga practice!
This exclusive tour is designed for those who value their time and seek a deeper connection with their yoga practice. It offers a peaceful immersion in the landscapes and natural pools of Litchfield National Park, and a unique opportunity for off-track bushwalking in the wilderness of Northern Australia. We will venture where others do not, uncovering hidden cultural sites and exploring secluded natural pools through swimming.
Départ: Darwin, 8 am on Friday
Fin: Darwin between 4 pm to 6 pm on Sunday
Duration: 3 days
The yoga tour begins at 8 a.m. on the scheduled date. We will travel for 2 hours by 4WD to Tjaynera Creek (Sandy Creek).
On the first day of our Yoga Tour, we might encounter day trippers, but as we walk away from Tjaynera Falls, we leave the crowds behind and enter a world few will see. For the next three days, we will explore the Tjaynera Creek area.
We will walk about 3 to 5 km each day. To make the best of the most pleasant hours, we follow the rhythm of the sun and start walking as early as possible. We will return to camp around 3 pm for a second yoga session at sunset.
We will camp by the river, near a cascade, where we can enjoy a swim.
At the camp, I will prepare our delicious 3-course dinner and boil water in the morning for our breakfast.
The weather in the area varies during the dry season. Daytime temperatures can rise above 35°C, but it is hoped that evening temperatures will be much more comfortable.

Litchfield National Park is a surprising world with two distinct areas. To the north is the tourist section with the busy Wangi and Florence Falls.
We will venture where others do not go.
To the south, the wild landscapes gradually unfold as we move to the rhythm of our steps. This trip offers a journey into the heart of the wild area of the national park.
On this tour, we will practice yoga by the cascades of Tjaynera Creek, one of Litchfield's best-kept secrets.
Marie Morrison, our Yoga Teacher
This short three-day tour will take us to a perfect natural environment for yoga.

And a gentle introduction to bushwalking.

This tour allows those who have a short time to enjoy the landscapes and natural pools of Litchfield National Park in peace. It is also an excellent introduction for those who want to experience off-track bushwalking in Northern Australia. We will go where others do not go to discover little-known cultural sites and some natural pools that we will find by swimming.
This three-day / two-night yoga tour begins and finishes in Tjaynera Falls.

Tjaynera Falls (sandy creek) video
On the first day, we will reach our starting point at Sandy Creek, bathe in the majestic Tjaynera Falls basin, and then walk to our camp near a small cascade with natural charm. We will stay in the same place both nights.
Here is the view from the yoga site!

On foot and by swimming, we will explore the turquoise and transparent waters of hidden tributaries.

On the second day in the morning, we will have our sunrise yoga session. Then, we will explore the surroundings of our camp in search of rock art sites. Litchfield sandstone is renowned for not retaining traces of Aboriginal paintings, making art sites pretty rare in this region. In the afternoon, I suggest that you store your daypacks in waterproof bags because we will return to our camp by swimming. The river with turquoise waters flows slowly through small gorges with a serene atmosphere, forming long pools that are very pleasant to discover by swimming. You don't have to be a good swimmer, and you can stop for a rest wherever you want.

Backpack-free, we will explore the bush.

And enjoy the countless natural swimming pools.
I will provide a waterproof bag to protect your gear when swimming in some of the long pools.

Nous nagerons aussi dans des bassins plus petits

We will return to camp around 3 pm. There will be plenty of time to enjoy the camp and to prepare for the sunset yoga session.
On the third day, we will have our last sunrise yoga session before reaching the dizzying heights of Tjaynera Falls.
We can swim in a shallow pool with a view of the Litchfield plains.

Sur le chemin du retour, nous profiterons d'une vue imprenable sur la vallée de la rivière Tjaynera.

We are sorry, there are no reviews yet for this tour.
