Purnululu was only known to Aboriginals People and a few adventurers. Listed as a World Heritage Site since 2003, Purnululu still remains a mythical and very isolated world of breathtaking natural beauty.
Purnululu National Park is a mythical and very isolated world of breathtaking natural beauty. Beyond Cathedral Gorge, beyond the famous domes and beyond Piccaninny gorge, in the heart of the park, in a world forgotten by tourists, carved by almost 400 millions years of erosion, snuggled up in lost times, 5 small gorges are hidden: “The 5 Fingers”.
The "5 Fingers" are therefore 5 small gorges, all 5 different from each other. Sometimes 200 meters high, the cliffs shrink, leaving the walker with only the space necessary for his progress. The light is dimmed, the orange red of the rock collars the daylight a light pink. The air is cooling. We evolve in a world of unreal dimensions.

We will explore the two distinct areas of the Carr Boyd Range, North and South.

"Bush swimming" the main gorge is fun and will open our mind to explore the country from a different perspective. We will provide you the right equipment to keep your pack dry.
The highlights in these ranges are the campsites located beside the waterfalls or in boab country under the stars. We will swim in the deep blue rivers and walk to a warm turquoise natural pool fed by water seeping through the cliff. Along the way, we may discover the ancestral signs of the Aboriginal people's presence on these culturally rich lands. With red or yellow ochre paintings, we are reminded that the landscapes of Kakadu are both natural and cultural. Perhaps during these days, you will feel the presence of the Aboriginal people who have lived in these places for more than 65,000 years. We will camp on the banks of the Jim Jim river and on the flat rocks of a dried-up river where your guide will prepare your dinner.
