2 WEEKS
DATES
14 to 27 April 2024
13 to 26 April 2025
We will explore the two distinct areas of the Carr Boyd Range, North and South.
We will navigate the waters of Lake Argyle to the South Carr Boyd. At the end of the wet season waterfalls and swimming holes follow one another along the languid rivers of the range. We will explore spectacular deep gorges on foot and sometimes by swimming.
"Bush swimming" in the main gorge is fun and will open our minds to explore the country from a different perspective. We will provide you with the right equipment to keep your pack dry.
The highlights in these ranges are the campsites located beside the waterfalls or in boab country under the stars. We will swim in the deep blue rivers and walk to a warm turquoise natural pool fed by water seeping through the cliff. The escarpments offer vast views across the range of the Dunham River plain and we will discover hidden rock art sites.
