We will explore the two distinct areas of the Carr Boyd Ranges, North and South.
We will navigate the waters of Lake Argyle to the South Carr Boyd. At the end of the wet season waterfalls and swimming holes follow one another along the languid rivers of the ranges. We will explore spectacular deep gorges by foot and sometimes by swimming.
"Bush swimming" the main gorge is fun and will open our mind to explore the country from a different perspective. We will provide you the right equipment to keep your pack dry.
We will reach the North Carr Boyd by helicopter. The highlights in these ranges are the campsites located beside the waterfalls or in boab country under the stars. We will swim in the deep blue rivers and walk to a warm turquoise natural pool fed by water seeping through the cliff. The escarpments offers vast views across the ranges or the Dunham river plain and we will discover hidden rock art sites.
